Certification of the "Technical Institute of Heraklion Chamber" as a host and sending organization in the framework of the European Voluntary Service (EVS).

The "Technical Institute of Heraklion Chamber" was certified as an organization for the implementation of European Voluntary Service (EVS) programs for the purpose of hosting volunteers of long duration (3 persons) and short duration (1 person). The European Voluntary Service enables young people aged 17-30 years to provide, through their personal commitment, a full-time service on a voluntary basis for a period of 2 to 12 months in another country within or outside the European Union. In this context, many young people from the European Union travel to other countries for unpaid voluntary service, combining the opportunity to get to know new countries and different cultures while gaining work experience.

The work experience gained by young people through their voluntary work is documented and certified by means of the Youthpass certificate. Youthpass is the official certification tool of the European Union through which informal and non-formal learning in youth mobility programs is recognized.

Following this certification, the details of the "Technical Institute of Heraklion Chamber" have been posted on the corresponding EU website together with all the certified institutions and the volunteers who will be sought will contribute to the development of youth entrepreneurship programs, the development of European mobility programs for young people and will participate in international networking activities, etc.
