 " Workplace Enriched Language Course for Migrant Education "

 

Purpose: The WELCOME project is called to address the lack of proposals for vocational apprenticeship at the same time as the language learning that migrants will need to fill jobs in countries where there is a need such as Germany and Austria. Its aim is to create a new methodology for combining the vocational training and language learning needed to integrate newly arrived immigrants into the EU.

The role of the Technical Institute of Heraklion Chamber will be to propose the curriculum and educational material in order to combine vocational training with the learning of the language of the country of residence and work of the immigrants.

Participating organizations: Hessisches Ministerium fur Soziales und Integration - Germany, BEST Institut für berufsbezogene Weiterbildung und Personaltraining GmbH (BEST) - Austria and the Istanbul Decentralised Administration - Turkey.
